Antonia Lofaso

Antonia's Lofaso invites guests to explore her inner world through her cuisine. It is her food that inspires curiosity. This was the result when she left the Long Island suburbs and entered the culturally diverse landscape in Los Angeles. Her belief of the fact that cavatelli and carnitas are able to coexist effortlessly on a menu reveals a taste that is constantly evolving. With every dish she serves her vision that is unique and reflects a longing for the old. Scopa Italian Roots was opened in 2013 by Lofaso and is influenced with her Italian American heritage. The restaurant received a warm welcome. The interpretation that Lofaso has given to classic Italian has been acclaimed as one of the most compelling places to enjoy Italian cooking within Los Angeles. Lofaso's food is consistently genuine, warm and delicious. Lofaso studied from chefs with sophisticated cooking techniques. However, she did not fear taking extraordinary risk to follow her own instincts. Following her rapid rise to the top of the ladder, she transformed various Los Angeles high-profile restaurants while working with high-profile stars. In the year 2011, Lofaso partnered together with Sal Aurora and Mario Guddemi to open Black Market Liquor Bar in Studio City. Lofaso found her place within Black Market, and through her partnerships she has created. This collaboration would foster the creative freedom Lofaso desired. Black Market does not have one direction that's the intention. The menu could start with chips of dill potato, shishito chilies and then move on to a Korean wings dish and meatballs. What binds this diverse array of flavors is Antonia. Lofaso assessed her success in the field by her capacity to be able to comprehend and appear genuine to her audience. Her appearances on the Top Chef Chicago episode and Top Chef: All Stars emphasized her ability to express her self outside of the culinary environment. In the years since she's continued to pursue her work in front of cameras with CNBC's Restaurant Startup Judge and recurring appearances on the Food Network's Cutthroat Kitchen Man vs. Child. Lofaso released The Busy Mother's Cookbook 100 Simple and Delicious Recipes, in 2012, along with Penguin. The book also tells the story of her challenges during her time in her school, the French Culinary Institute. She was raising her daughter Xea also. Lofaso believes that the motivation for her achievements originates from the kitchen and it is through this vein that she keeps her an eye on the pulse of. Through the Chefletics brand, she is altering the appearance of her field by redesigning chefwear for both style and function. Lofaso believes in being true to yourself and your vision. To achieve this, she's launched Antonia Lofaso Catering. The new company will offer a tailored experience to clients.
